For 8 years, Christin has been serving the beautiful Sarasota with fun, elegant, and trendy fashion pieces for everyone. Christin is also super active in the community, running a networking group, supporting fellow business owners, and being a super fun girlfriend, as well as a wife, mom, and pet lover!

I met Christin a while ago now, and from the very first moment, I was captivated by her enthusiasm, her kindness, and her authenticity. It was as if she radiated a warm energy that drew people in, making them feel valued and appreciated. Her unwavering commitment to uplifting those around her were evident in every conversation we shared. She is truly the person who inspired me to want to be part of the amazing Sarasota community of women and small businesses.

How did it all begin?

During the pandemic, Christin found herself presented with the opportunity to open her brick-and-mortar shop in Siesta Key, where the sun-kissed beaches and vibrant community provided an ideal backdrop for her entrepreneurial endeavors. Prior to this momentous decision, she had been successfully operating a mobile retail business. Her mobile retail venture not only allowed her to connect with a diverse range of customers but also honed her skills in understanding market trends and consumer preferences.

'It all started with a personal quest for distinctive, comfortable, trendy, & affordable clothing-an endeavor that eventually led to the establishment of Coral & Reef boutique. From fashionable surfside attire to shoreside elegance, you'll discover your one-of-a-kind fashion statements, making it an absolute "shore" thing. Currently we offer diverse shopping options, including a storefront location, convenient online browsing, exclusive private shopping experiences, personalized styling & color analysis, & expert closet audits. '

After several years of hard work, dedication, and cultivating a loyal customer base, Christin decided to take a bold step forward by opening a second location in downtown Sarasota. This move was not merely an expansion of her business; it was a significant leap toward realizing her broader vision for her brand. The bustling atmosphere of downtown Sarasota, with its rich cultural scene and foot traffic, presented a perfect opportunity to reach even more customers and showcase her unique offerings. I love that she not only creates amazing markets for in-person sales, but she also hosts events for local women to reinvigorate themselves. Do you have any advice for a Woman that wants to start her own business?

 We all have unique talents & abilities. Do not think you have to be able to do it all. It is important to know your strengths and weaknesses and partner/collaborate with those that have the abilities in the weakness you have. In other words, "do what you do best, & delegate the rest". If you do not learn this early on, you will spend so much time & money trying to master certain aspects of business versus growing and flourishing your strengths.
